From May 8 to 20, 2026, the European Para-Armwrestling Championship is taking place in Budapest, Hungary, among athletes with musculoskeletal disorders, visual impairments, and hearing impairments.
As part of the national team of Ukraine, the competition features Dmytro Savchuk, an International Master of Sports of Ukraine and athlete of the Rivne Regional Center “Invasport”.
The athlete competed in the standing category among men with musculoskeletal disorders in the weight class up to 70 kg.
Following the competition, Dmytro won two silver medals — in left-arm and right-arm competitions, losing both finals to another Ukrainian athlete, Nazarii Ostapchuk from the Chernihiv region.
The athlete was prepared for the championship by coach Mykhailo Novak and Honored Coach of Ukraine Vadym Poliukhovych.
