Polish Open 2025 — Ukraine’s Triumph!
On October 11–12, in Bielsko-Biała, Poland, the prestigious international tournament Polish Open 2025 took place, gathering over 2,700 athletes from 33 countries. The competition became one of the biggest autumn events for karate athletes in Europe.
The Ukrainian national team performed brilliantly, winning 167 medals and taking first place in the overall ranking, leaving behind Poland and Denmark.
Among the winners were both experienced athletes from the national team and young members of Ukraine’s junior team, for whom this tournament was an important step in their sports development. Our karatekas demonstrated strength, determination, and the drive to win, confirming Ukraine’s leading position on the international stage.
"Polish Open is a high-level competition featuring Europe’s best athletes. This result by the national team is a strong signal: Ukraine remains among the leaders of European karate," noted the head coach of Ukraine’s junior team.
The junior team also showed outstanding results, winning 11 awards and proving that the future of Ukrainian karate is in reliable hands.
The Gera team sincerely congratulates the Ukrainian national team and all clubs representing our country at Polish Open 2025. We are proud to be part of the large sports community and to support those who raise the Ukrainian flag on international arenas.
📅 Coming soon — the next event for the junior team: a stage of the Youth League, taking place in December in Venice.
